National Bank Holiday for Queen Elizabeth II State Funeral12/09/2022

I am sure by now, that you are aware that Monday 19th September 2022 will be a National Bank Holiday for the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. As such, the school will be closed on this day.

The school has participated in a number of events during the period of National Mourning. This includes a special whole school PSHE lesson looking at the life and reign of the Queen. We will also share with students the link to the official Royal online book of condolence and encourage them to send their thoughts and messages to the Royal family. The link can be found below.

We have reviewed our school calendar and feel it is appropriate to continue with the events we have planned during the period of National Mourning.

The students have been fantastic at school and have shown their respects for the Queen at every opportunity. I would like to thank them for their maturity at this sad time.
