Work Experience

Year 10 Work Experience 2025

The dates for this year are Thursday 10th July to Wednesday 23rd July.

We compete with all other schools in Aylesbury and Milton Keynes to secure the best placements. It will be the responsibility of the student to find a placement. Don’t delay. 

You and your parents/carers must complete your Unifrog profile by 25th April 2025. If you already have a placement lined up, please ensure that the employer information is completed on your Unifrog profile under Placements. Work Experience Checklist
  1.  Complete the online Unifrog Profile
  2. Find a placement. There are some recommendations on the website
  3. Contact the employer by phone or email
  4. Arrange an interview
  5. Ensure that this information is entered on Unifrog
  6. Unifrog will then email your employer and then your parents
  7. Begin your Work Experience on the given date
  8. Your employer will be asked to complete the Employer Placement Feedback Form via Unifrog
  9. You will then complete a Student Placement Feedback Form via Unifrog.

Virtual Work Experience Opportunities 

For students getting back into studies, answering the question “What do I want to do with my future?” can be difficult.

Springpod provides students with virtual work experience from companies such as Barclays and Siemens, as well as new university ‘try before you apply’ content from great universities such as UCL and Oxford. That will support them in answering those big questions. Creating an account is free and easy!

Each opportunity can be completed flexibly around studies is great for building and real CV-worthy experience. They can fit nicely into your curriculum as homework or even to be started during lesson time. You could also mention these opportunities during form/registration time and let students decide what they want to take part in.
