Happy 65th Birthday Cottesloe!

July 7th marks a special day

On July 7, 1960, Wing County Secondary School officially opened its doors, marking the beginning of an extraordinary 65-year journey. From our humble origins to the vibrant educational community we are today, we celebrate decades of shared memories, remarkable achievements, and enduring friendships.

To honour this special occasion, in April we unveiled a Heritage Wall. This unique feature allows our students to connect with our rich history daily, reinforcing their sense of belonging and reminding them they are part of something truly special.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this celebration and our legacy possible:

  •  Our Heritage Project Team, led by the incomparable Margaret Balding, for meticulously piecing together our story.
  •  Our brilliant designers, Blue Cube Creative, for their incredible work in bringing our history to life.
  • Our talented students, Matthew M and Alfie W, for capturing the awesome drone footage.
  •  All our students, past and present – you are, and always have been, the heart of The Cottesloe School.
  •  Every dedicated staff member who has contributed to our success and growth over the years.

Here's to the next 65 years of learning, innovation, and continued excellence!
