How to Share a Concern

At The Cottesloe School, we all work together to support you with any concerns you may have, whether they occur inside school, outside our local community, or online. We have introduced this system to make it even easier for students, parents, and carers to make us aware of important information.

Any information received will be taken seriously, dealt with sensitively, and handled in a timely manner. Share a Concern Form is an easy, discreet way to report these concerns.

Possible examples of concerns are:

  • You are being bullied or treated unkindly.
  • You are concerned about someone else being bullied.
  • You are concerned about crime or anti-social behaviour in our community.
  • You are worried about someone else’s safety or wellbeing.
  • You or a friend are unhappy or feel unsafe at home.
How to make a report

If you want to report any concerns, please click on the Share a Concern button.

You can send a report from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.

You will be given the choice to include your name and details or to send an anonymous report. While we will always investigate anonymous reports, it is much easier for us to follow up and provide direct support if you provide your name. Please be assured that we will deal with your concern in a way that protects your identity if this is necessary to keep you safe.

What happens when you make a report?

Your report will be sent to the Safeguarding Team will review the information. They will either support you directly or pass the information to the most relevant person, such as your Head of Year or a member of the Pastoral Team.

If your concern involves a crime that has taken place outside of school, we may contact our local police liaison officers to ensure the community remains safe.

How quickly will someone contact you?

Your report will be followed up within 24–48 hours, or sooner if the matter is urgent.

Please Note: This reporting system is monitored during school term time and school hours only. If you are in immediate danger or require urgent help outside of school hours, please contact the Police (999) or Childline (0800 1111).
