School Production News – Consider Yourself Part of the Show!

What an incredible start to our Oliver! journey! A record-breaking 137 students packed out the audition workshop, filling the room with unmatched energy, talent, and enthusiasm. Everyone who attended has now been invited to the official Oliver! Google Classroom, which will be the central hub for all rehearsal updates and materials. The moment you’ve been waiting for is almost here – the cast list will be posted today at break time, so if your young person auditioned for one of the main roles, they will know today! A huge well done to everyone who stepped up and gave it their all! 

Year 7 Character Evening

We’re looking forward to welcoming parents and carers of Year 7 to attend our information evening tomorrow night at 6pm. A letter has been sent home but it’s not too late to sign up if you would still like to attend. We really encourage as many families as possible to attend; you’ll be able to put faces to names of a number of key members of staff and learn more about how we do things here. Pick up and Drop off on the Coach Park

Thank you to all our families who have been following the coach park drop-off and pick-up procedures; we appreciate your cooperation in helping to ensure a safe start and end to the school day for all our students. We’ve really noticed a difference, particularly at the end of the day. 

Wing View Care Home and parking on Church Street There are still a small number of parents continuing to park on Church Street, parking across driveways and access points. Wing View Care Home has been in touch to ask us to remind parents not to use their car park to wait in, or use the shared driveway off Church Street in the mornings and afternoons. It's vital that this access road remains clear at all times for the safety of our community, especially for emergency vehicle access. 

Fundraising - ways to help the school

As you will know, school budgets have been under significant pressure for a considerable time. This is why any additional help we can receive is so important - it allows us to provide even more opportunities for our students. There are a number of ways you can help, such as easyfundraising, making a donation of time to The Friends of Cottesloe, our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) or by playing the Parents Lottery. Every contribution, big or small, from our generous parents, local organizations, or through matched funding by employers, is gratefully received and truly makes a difference. We want to be clear that we understand every family's circumstances are unique, and we never want anyone to feel pressured to contribute.
