Ofsted Report and Performance
We are delighted to share the results of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 17th March 2026.
This was a full inspection under Ofsted’s new reporting system. This framework has moved away from a single overall grade (such as "Good" or "Outstanding") to a more detailed Report Card format. This change is designed to give parents and carers a clearer, more comprehensive picture of school life.
Understanding the New Report Card
Under this new system, schools are graded across several key areas rather than being given a one-word summary. The new grading categories are:
- Exceptional: Practice of the highest standard nationally.
- Strong Standard: Leaders are working above the expected standard.
- Expected Standard: The school is fulfilling all its professional and legal requirements.
- Needs Attention
- Urgent Improvement
For a detailed explanation of how these new grades work, please watch this short video guide:

Celebrating Our Results
We are incredibly proud of this report. It reflects the dedication of our staff and the wonderful attitudes of our students.
Key Highlights:
- Personal Development and Wellbeing: Strong Standard Inspectors found that our personal development programme helps students grow into "responsible, resilient and respectful young people." They also praised our "highly effective pastoral care" and our wide range of extracurricular opportunities.
- Safeguarding: Standards Met The report confirms that we have established an "open culture" where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, ensuring that our "students are made safer and feel safe."
- The Student Experience Perhaps most heartening was the finding that our students feel a "strong sense of pride and belonging," with many telling inspectors that the school "feels like a family." The report describes our school as a "calm and warm environment" where students behave well and respect one another.
Meeting Standards Across the Board:
We are also pleased to have achieved the Expected Standard in all other inspected areas:
- Inclusion
- Curriculum and Teaching
- Attendance and Behaviour
- Leadership and Governance
- Sixth Form
