• Year 9: Keeping Doors Open - It is never too early to start thinking ahead! When choosing your GCSE options, it is important to consider how your choices might impact future degree pathways, especially for competitive fields like Medicine, Engineering, or Modern Languages.
• Years 10 & 11: Exploring Post-16 Pathways - Start exploring degree subjects you might not have encountered before. Check typical entry requirements (A-Level, BTEC, and T-Level expectations) to inform your post-16 subject choices.
• Year 12: Building Your UCAS Shortlist - Begin filtering universities by subject area, attending Open Days, and building a balanced shortlist of five UCAS choices, combining aspirational target choices with solid safety options.
