Above is the Year 11 Intervention Timetable that is currently in place to help support pupils with their academic progress.  We are very proud to be able to offer a range of interventions at different times throughout the week.  All of these are run by subject specialists on a voluntary basis and are subject to change.

There are three basic types of intervention:

• Invite Only - these are small scale interventions designed to address a particular learning need that has been identified by curriculum teams.  These will be for a set period of time and only for pupils who have been invited to attend through a formal communication home
• Open - these interventions are open for all Year 11 pupils.  Any student is free to attend and to complete work with a subject specialist
• Invite Only and Open - these interventions will have elements of both.  Specific intervention will be put on to address identified needs with targeted pupils; however, anyone studying the subject can attend and complete work with a subject specialist

In addition to the subject-specific interventions, we would like to make you aware of the specifics of the Year 11 Quiet Study Room (QSR):

Year 11 QSR

The Year 11 QSR is available to all pupils as an additional study space for them to complete independent study (Monday to Friday).  The session is supervised by a senior member of staff but not by subject specialists.  The Year 11 QSR is situated in A16.  

Pupil expectations for each session:

• Arrive by 12:30 for the QSR session
• Have specific work to complete for a chosen subject 
• Engage positively with independent work
• Complete work quietly
• No food or drink to be consumed in the Year 11 QSR
