Help us maintain face-to-face learning31/01/2022
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that in order to maintain face to face learning for all students, we must all continue to play our part by adhering to the control measures we put in place.
Masks
Although the requirement for masks in wider society remains somewhat ambiguous, at The Cottesloe School we will continue to wear masks in communal spaces to reduce transmission of the virus. The students have been excellent with this and compliance is good. Understandably, we have seen masks not being worn or forgotten more frequently as organisations have different rules and guidance is relaxed.
Buckinghamshire Council has supported Headteachers to allow them to make decisions on a school by school basis as restrictions have been lifted.
Could I ask that you ensure your child comes to school with a mask every day. Masks need to be worn in corridors, communal workspaces, changing rooms and on buses to and from school.
Testing
Regular testing is also important. All students should continue to test twice weekly and report the results to the NHS in the usual way. This enables us to see any emerging patterns or changes in case numbers across the school population.
Case numbers still remain relatively low among staff and students, but the virus is still in our school community. Staff absence is particularly challenging at this time and we are striving to maintain face to face learning for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely
Mr S Jones
