Period of National Mourning09/09/2022

I watched the news breaking yesterday evening about the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth with great sadness and a huge sense of loss.

This morning I held a whole school assembly to mark the beginning of the National period of mourning which will continue until the end of the State Funeral. The school will of course remain open during this time. Any request for a Leave of Absence will be dealt with through our normal processes.

We will be planning further activities to show our respects to the Queen over the coming days.

Once more details are released by the Royal Household regarding the State Funeral we will inform you of any official changes to our school calendar.

Our thoughts are with the Royal family at this time and we expect all students to conduct themselves respectfully during activities that are linked to this sad time.
